AFA President, Larry O. Spencer, provided words of encouragement and perseverance to the graduating students of the Maryland Freestate Challenge Academy program earlier this month. The Freestate Challenge Academy is a tuition-free program offering at-risk youth an opportunity to better their future in a military academy setting. The graduating students completed a five month residence at the academy followed by a yearlong post-residence phase in order to graduate. All of the graduating students were able to challenge themselves and realize personal accomplishments. Find out more about the Academy here.
