AFA to host Wounded Airman Panel June 10, 2016

AFA’s Wounded Airman Program has planned a very exciting weekend for a special group of wounded Airmen and caregivers June 10-12th! Airmen from across the country are traveling to DC where they will participate in a panel to tell their stories and discuss how the Air Force takes care of our Wounded Warriors. Special focus will be given to adaptive sports in the rehabilitation process and the role of the caregiver in recovery. The event is cosponsored with the US Air Force and will allow the public, media and Air Force leadership to hear first-hand about the transition and journey to recovery.  Following the panel, the Airmen have a full weekend of adaptive cycling events, an Air Force Band concert at the Air Force Memorial, sightseeing and rehabilitation. Their weekend will conclude with a trip to Nats Park to watch the Washington Nationals take on the Phillies, with tickets provided by VetTix.
