Chapter Spotlight: Ramstein Chapter 507

One of AFA’s goals is to create an environment of support and mentorship, and Ramstein’s AFA Chapter 507 is doing just that. In an effort to provide younger airmen with mentorship and leadership advice, Chapter 507 in conjunction with the Total Force Development Council, hosted a Speed Mentoring seminar for all enlisted airmen. The mentors consisted of officers and SNCO’s from all different AFSC’s to provide diverse and dynamic points of view. The pairs had 5 minutes to discuss topics such as promotions, leadership, and discipline.

Not only was their Speed Mentoring event a success, but Chapter 507 was also able to host JROTC cadets for a realistic training experience, known as Cadet Leadership Course (CLC). Ramstein’s AFA Chapter partnered up with the European Department of Defense Schools Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps to host this week-long event with over 100 cadets from 10 different schools. With the help and supervision of some experienced NCO’s, cadets got to participate in physical training, marksmanship training, obstacle courses and even got to try some delicious Meals Ready to Eat (MRE).

We want to congratulate Ramstein’s Chapter 507 for their outstanding work in supporting our Airmen and future leaders!
