Wounded Airman Program Donates Recumbent Bike to Deserving Warrior

AFA’s Wounded Airmen Program (WAP) is always working to support Airmen on their road to recovery. Recently, WAP provided Jason, a 10-year Air Force Veteran, a recumbent bike that allows him to enjoy his exercises without pain.

"After multiple cancer surgeries, including reconstruction of my chest and rib cage, which make it difficult to do many physical activities, including exercise, I participated in an Air Force Wounded Warrior event that introduced me to using recumbent tricycles, which are much easier on the upper body than conventional bicycles. Through the generous funding of the Air Force Association, I have recently received and begun riding a Catrike Trail model tricycle. I absolutely love it."
